Jewelry Every Day: Water, Showers, the Sea, and Sport

Les Lulú is born to be worn every day. And everyday life meets water: a shower, a swim, a run. Here is what to know to wear your jewelry with peace of mind.
The jewel that lives with you
An everyday jewel accompanies real gestures. Our pieces in 925 silver plated in 18K champagne gold with PVD technology are designed for exactly this: a resistant finish, made to last. A little extra care around water keeps them radiant longer.
Fresh water and showers
Occasional contact with fresh water will not compromise your jewel. In the shower, though, shampoo, soap, and body wash come into play, and over time they can dull the surface. If you can, take your jewel off first; if it stays on, dry it right afterward with a soft cloth.
Sea and pool
Sea salt and pool chlorine are the most demanding companions for any jewel. Before a long swim, better to keep your pieces safe. If a jewel does get wet, rinse it in fresh water as soon as you can and dry it with care: a small gesture that makes a great difference.
Sweat and sport
During physical activity, your jewel can stay with you. Afterward, dry it to remove sweat, which is naturally saline. The lightness of our pieces keeps them comfortable even in motion.
The golden rule
Just one, and simple: after contact with water, dry. It is the gesture that protects the shine over time. Here is the complete cleaning guide.
Frequently asked questions
Can you shower with Les Lulú jewelry?
Occasionally, yes, but to make it last at its best it is preferable to take it off, because of soap and shampoo, and to dry it if it stays on.
Can I wear jewelry to the beach?
Better to keep it out of prolonged immersion in salt water. If it gets wet, rinse it in fresh water and dry it right away.
Does sweat damage jewelry?
If you dry your pieces after sport, they stay protected. Sweat is saline: a soft cloth sets everything right.
